I have been working as a freelance translator (English<=>Greek) for the past 5 years. My fields of specialization are: Medical documents, Pharmaceutical documents, Economic documents, Technical documents, Translation of Websites and Software (Localization, Globalization). I have collaborated mainly with large corporations, but also with individual customers, and have worked on several subjects and document formats.

Over the past decade, the internet has evolved to become an increasingly important platform of communication and, thus, translation has entered into a whole new era. Sending and receiving translation projects over the internet, on-line communication with the customer, on-line payments (..the best part :>). The use of applications called Translation Memories (e.g. Trados, DejaVuX) has made translation process even more effective and fast.
